金川集团有限公司(简称金川公司)是采、选、冶、化配套的大型有色冶金、化工联合企业，生产镍、铜、钴、稀有贵金属和硫酸、烧碱、液氯、盐酸、亚硫酸钠等化工产品以及有色金属深加工产品，镍和铂族金属产量占中国的90%以上，是中国最大的镍钴生产基地，被誉为中国的“镍都”。

JNM 公司已形成年产13万吨镍、20万吨铜、6000 吨钴、3500千克铂族金属和120 万吨化工产品、3万吨镍盐的综合生产能力。

公司位于中国西部河西走廊的工业城市——甘肃省金昌市，矿区地势比较平坦，海拔高度为1500米至1800米，属温带大陆性气候。南距欧亚大陆桥——兰新铁路线22公里，厂区铁路与之相连，铁路、公路运输便利。

JNM 金川镍矿是世界著名的多金属共生的大型硫化铜镍矿床之一，发现于1958年，集中分布在龙首山下长6.5公里、宽500米的范围内，已探明的矿石储量为5.2亿吨，镍金属储量550万吨，列世界同类矿床第三位，铜金属储量343万吨，居中国第二位，近年来的地质勘探成果表明金川镍矿的深部、边部及外围具有良好的找矿前景。金川矿石还伴生有钴、铂、钯、金、银、锇、铱、钌、铑、硒、碲、硫、铬、铁、镓、铟、锗、铊、镉等元素，其中可供回收利用的有价元素有14种。矿床之大、矿体之集中、可供利用金属之多，在国内外都是罕见的。
 

Jinchuan Group Limited (JNMC) is a large integrated non-ferrous metallurgical and chemical engineering enterprise engaged in mining, concentrating, metallurgy and chemical engineering. It produces nickel, copper, cobalt, rare and precious metals and also some chemical products such as sulfuric acid, caustic soda, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid and sodium sulfite, together with some further processed nonferrous metals products. The output of nickel and platinum group metals respectively accounts for more than  90% of the total in China. Jinchuan Group Ltd is the largest producer of nickel,cobalt in China, and is honored the Nickel City of China.

       Jinchuan Group Ltd has had an annual production capacity of 130,000 tons of nickel, 200,000 tons of copper, 6,000 tons of cobalt, 8,000 kilograms of platinum group metals (PGMs) and 1200,000 tons of chemical products.
