Established in 1991, China Southern Airlines is the largest airline in the People’s Republic of china.

 

Headquartered in the pearl river delta metropolis of Guangzhou ,China Southern Airlines has five subsidiary airlines located in Henan, Hubei, Hunan,Hainan and Shenzhen; five share-holding companies in Xiamen,Guangxi,Shantou,Zhuhai and Guizhou; 17domestic offices including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu,Urumqi, Xian and Kunming, and 35 international sales and ticketing offices including Singapore, Bangkok,Osaka, Amsterdam, Sydney and Los Angels. The airline has more than 1000 domestic and international sales agents working to consistently generate a solid foundation of corporate and leisure customers.

 

Boeing, Airbus aircraft types, .and operates 660 domestic and international routes to more than 100 destinations, forming an extensive route network with Baiyun international airport in Guanzhou as the carrier’s international hubcovering all china and radiating throughout Asia with convenient connections to Europe, the united states and Austalia.

 

In 2001, China Southern Airline was honored as an "Emerging Market Leader" by the World Economic Forum. In 2004, China Southern Airlines carried near 40 million passengers- ranking China Southern Airlines as the largest airline in China for the 26th.consecutive years. In November 2004, China Southern announceda very substantial acquisition &connected transactions regarding Northern Airlines/Xinjiang Airlines, both airlines are now wholly owned subsidiaries of China Southern Airlines Holding Company and are engaged in the civil aviation business. Up to now, the airlines have total assets in excess of 67 billion RMB, and according to business revenue statistics, ranking as the 32nd largest business enterprise in China.

2004年11月南航通过与北方航空、新疆航空的并购方案，北航、新航已成为南方航空股份的下属公司并进入营运，目前，南航资产总额逾670亿元，以营业收入计，在中国最大1000家企业中列32位。
